Something has been really bothering me. Why is our president and lawmakers concerning themselves so fully with a poor woman who has been in a vegitative state for 15 years, when we are having our children killed and abused left and right. Why arent they meeting in a special session about this "piece of trash" Couey and his perverted ways? he took a 9 year old a childs life..the last thing that poor child saw was his disgusting face. How can our president sit up at the White House and wait for a bill to save terri's life but do nothing to avenge a child who's life hadnt even began? Where is the justice in this? This man will sit on some death row cell block getting fed and taken care of until they decide to execute him..if he even gets the death penelty. Terri has been dead pretty much for the last 15 years and the government wants to step in and keep her living such as she is for the rest of her poor life..Why dosnt he pass a bill that says all sex offenders must be put to death the first time they do such an act? Our government is interferring in our constitutial rights. Who gives them that power? and what makes terri more important than others? is it because Jeb dont like having his authority undermined? So he calls in his brother the prez to do something about it? Its all political as usual. But i still have to think its all wrong. Where was our government and Jeb when this little girl was abused and murdered...where? where are they now?? trying to pass a bill to save some woman who truly matters to some people..but to me she isnt as important as our children..all of our children..her quality of life has been lost..Jessica's hadnt even began yet and there are thousands more out there who arent getting the chance either..sex offenders are in every neighborhood..they might be your next door neighbor..they are required to sign in ect..yeah..but who keeps up with them? they are allowed to roam the streets..look at our familes and plot their dirty ways..We cant protect everyone but the government sure can protect one poor woman who cant protect herself..do they really know what this woman wanted? or wants? no..listen to the children who can tell you..before its too late.. Both of these situations are something I hear about everyday.(since Im in Fl where they both take place)
I agree with ya, This woman is in veg. state for a long time, its not something that all of a sudden one day is going to change. and you are 100% correct about Jeb, his big brother owes him a favor(since he gaurenteed he would be elected 5 years ago) so now hes calling in the favor.
When 9 year old Jessica disappeared, it was the second story on the news AFTER the Schivo case....which is insane.
This guy will sit on death row for at least 15-20 years, thats about how long it takes in Fl befor execution now. Unless they put him in general population where he would be killed by the inmates, since doing harm to a child makes you the lowest of all the criminals in jail.
But unfortunately the government wont step in and do anything to stop this from happening time after time.

I cant even post something logical right now. Thank you guys for your posts. Its funny when i post something serious it gets very little responses..but let me post something trivial.. About all I can say right now is...."walk a mile in this ladies shoes, even her families shoes"

letter to my congressman:
Comments: I would like to know where Mr. Taylor stood on the Terri Schiavo vote. I feel very strongly about the turn this has taken. There are children being attacked and killed by sexual predators every day and NO one is having a special emergency session of congrass to pass any laws for them. Why has this poor woman who has been "dead' for all intents and purposes for 15 years getting the royal treatment and poor Jessica Lunsford and many others are just being buried and given a prayer. I want my congressman to know how I feel and I hope he will do something for Me since he was voted in by people just like Me as MY voice in the government. Isnt there something that can be done? If this law goes into effect I wonder what will be next. Children become adults in the courts eyes pretty much at 18 I think, so will this then mean that parents can be held responsible for their children at age 41 or older? That when I married my husband Im still under my parents care? Dont you think someone somewhere will think of this and began pushing for more laws to this effect? It only takes one mistake. This interferrence by the government I beleive will snowball into things none of us want to happen. Maybe I dont know everything, Im by no means a politician or anyone of true consequence, But are my feelings any less important? Thank you for your time.
Im going to send more of those too..soon as i get some addy's..

Chele...im sorry i havent responded before this..
this topic is something that i have very strong
feelings about...this whole situation....is
sickening...DYl and i have discussed it..and all
the options and opinions...
Her poor husband...who has a life that he cant
live because her parents want to keep her "alive"
people say he wants to let her die because he
has a new woman in his life and wants the insurance
money....wtf? he has been paying for this poor
woman to live a life that i feel she would NOT
want to live...what insurance money? hospice
care and the likes do not come cheap...this
poor man will be in debt for the rest of his life
for taking care of her for so long! i was
watching on the news tonite...a doctor who
explained her situation...the injuries to her
brain that is causing this...and explained her
responses that her parents claim she is still
alive and not brain dead......the major part of her
brain is a black hole....nothing there...but
her brain stem is still functioning...what does
this mean? she is brain dead...injured to a point
she will NEVER recover.....the brain stem functioning
means...she responds due to stimulation only...
NOT because her brain is working and telling her
to move, smile, make sounds....but because her
nerve endings respond...her mom hugging her...
touching her face...touching nerves that make
the responses happen..if you watch the videos they
show of her....the only time she responds is if
someone touches her...
what REALLY pisses me off......the things that I
have lived through dealing with an asshole fuking
ex...the law basically telling me...i HAVE to take
my kids to him....even though he has been arrested
for trying to kill me...i HAVE to put them in a
dangerous situation or if he has the money to
push the charges...I...ME can be arrested for
NOT taking them to his house every weekend....
yes they are of the age to speak to a judge and
tell him what they want...but it will cost me
$3-4000 to revise the visitations......my lawyers
advice....just dont take them...cause the ex does
not have the money to push the charges...he will
have to come up with the $3-4000 to charge me...
so i havent been taking them...and praying he
doesnt come up with that kind of money...cause
if he does......im in contempt of court???
and our government is in emergency session..to
decide what???? sure as hell isnt how to protect
kids in situations like mine!!!
